Roy Boswell’s ‘two museums’ is based in the ancient Roman naming convention of assigning a single name to a set of twins, with the exception of adding the prefix ‘anti-’ to the younger of the two siblings. The museum and anti-museum of the text are apparently opposite, and yet non-identical copies of one another. Could a calculated risk – a guided tour of the anti-museum – serve to hasten the slow motion of institutional change?
