UA Miniresidencies: Isa Hukka & Juti Saari

A sharing, a demo, a discussion, an outcome – Isa Hukka’s and Juti Saari’s residency period for UA Miniresidencies culminates in a public event in Tekstin talo where the artists share some of their process and work. Free admission!

Rampadramaturgiailta (‘An evening with crip dramaturgy’) is a shared experience. Maybe it is a performance lecture, perhaps it is a lecture performance? It reimagines what a lecture could become. Exploring critical disability art, Rampadramaturgiailta is an event open to all. Artists Juti Saari and Isa Hukka will share the tools, discoveries, and missteps of their residency period, in the form of a demo performance. During the residency, they explore cripping dramaturgy and performance making. Cripping dramaturgy refers to applying crip know-how to create new narratives, and to challenging norms, assumptions, and power structures related to ability.
